Robbery Attempt Leaves One Georgian Citizen Dead in Athens
A Georgian citizen has died while trying to rob an apartment with a partner in the Ampelokipoi district of Athens, Greece. The other person has been detained. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports the incident took place on New Year's Eve, December 31.
The report states that the injuries that the Georgian citizen received while trying to escape resulted in his death.
"The Greek side says that two citizens were robbing an apartment in Athens when neighbors saw them and called the police. One of the Georgian citizens was injured when breaking a glass door when trying to escape. He was transferred to the hospital shortly but the injuries turned out to be fatal and he died after being transferred to the hospital,” reports the MFA Georgia.
