Ukraine International Airlines: the Plane Had no Mechanical Issues
Ukraine International Airline has announced that the 'Boeing 737' that recently crashed on the Iranian territories had a perfectly working engine.
The airline has reported that the 2016 Boeing passed the last technical check on January 6, 2020. The technical check found nothing wrong with the plane.
“This was one of our best airplanes, it had a professional and wonderful staff,” said Evgeny Dykhne the President of the airline at the press conference held in Kyiv today.
The Vice-president of the company Igor Sosnivky further noted that they are almost ruling out the mistake from the crew of the aircraft. The members of the crew were two pilots, one instructor, and 6 flight attendants.
All 176 people on board the Ukraine International Airlines “Boeing 737” were killed when it crashed shortly after take-off from Imam Khomeini Airport in Tehran. The victims of the tragedy were citizens of Ukraine, Iran, Afghanistan, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Sweden.
The Iranian side, the first ones to report the plane crash, blamed the mechanical issues for the crash. While the Ukrainian officials agreed at first, later they claimed that it was too soon to determine the cause of the tragedy.
