One Arrested for Wounding 3 People at Bassiani Night Club
Police have detained a Georgian citizen for the attempted premeditated murder of three and illegal purchase and possession of firearms at the internationally acclaimed underground club Bassiani in Tbilisi on January 12.
The Georgian Interior Ministry reports that an individual, identified only as B.Ch. and born in 1980, injured three at the entrance of the night club and tried to escape.
“Investigation revealed that the detainee opened fire at the entrance of Bassiani club on January 12 and wounded three people,” MIA said.
The crime envisages imprisonment of up to 15 years or life.
All of the three injured during the shooting were taken to hospital but are now stable.
Naja Orashvili, co-founder of Bassiani, wrote on her Facebook yesterday that everything was fine and said she hoped the offender would be punished as soon as possible.
