Four Patients Being Treated for Flu at Tbilisi Infections Clinic
Four patients are currently being treated for the flu virus at Tbilisi Infectious Disease Clinic.
Two Chinese citizens, minors, who were transferred from the Kazbegi region of Georgia to the Tbilisi Infections Hospital yesterday, were diagnosed with influenza type A virus.
The other two patients are said to be in a stable condition and they are without a fever at this stage. Doctors are waiting for results of the examination and say that the diagnosis of flu is likely to be removed in both patients.
Reportedly, one of the four patients was in China’s Wuhan city two weeks ago, however, her virus is not clinically similar to the coronavirus.
Preliminary data suggest that patients do not have the new coronavirus infection, however, if confirmed, they will remain in the clinic for the full course of treatment.
If the new coronavirus is excluded, they will be treated for acute respiratory infection and discharged from the clinic after recovery.
The Chinese citizens entered Georgia from Azerbaijan on January 21 and visited Gudauri ski resort.
