January 2020: Export in Georgia Up by 10%, Import - 4%

External Merchandise Trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to $882.4 million in January 2020, 5.7% higher than the same month of 2019. The value of export increased by 10.0% reaching $262.6 million, while the import increased by 3.9% and amounted to $619.7 million, preliminary data of the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) shows. 

At the same time, the trade deficit equaled $357.1 million and its share in trade turnover constituted 40.5%.
