US Ambassador, Georgian Parliament Speaker Discuss Cooperation Priorities
Following his recent visit to Washington, Georgian Parliament Speaker Archil Talakvadze met with the new United States Ambassador to Georgia, Kelly Degnan.
"After my visit to the United States, I held a working meeting with the Ambassador of the United States, Kelly Degnan. We shared views on bilateral cooperation priorities and future plans," he said.
Talakvadze thanked Kelly Degnan for the high level of support and cooperation from the US Government.
The newly appointed US Ambassador arrived in Georgia on January 29 to start her tenure.
She has already held meetings with the Georgian Patriarch, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia, Interior Minister Vakhtang Gomelauri, Defense Minister Irakli Garibashvili, Head of State Security Service of Georgia, Grigol Liluashvili and Minister of IDPs, Labor, Health and Social Affairs Ekaterine Tikaradze.
