Firearm Found in Parliament Speaker's Residential Building
Police officers are mobilized near the residential building of the Parliament Speaker Archil Talakvadze. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has explained that the reason for the above is that a firearm was found in the building.
“The firearm was allegedly found between the first and second floors. The weapon was discovered and reported by an employee of the State Security Service, which was followed by an immediate response from law enforcement agencies. An investigation has been launched into the purchase and possession of firearms under Article 236 of the Criminal Code of Georgia,” the Ministry reports.
The Parliament’s press service denied reports that there was an attempt to rob the house of the Speaker of Parliament.
"Police mobilization is not directly linked to Archil Talakvadze's apartment. It is a lie that there was an attempt to break into his house," the press service said.
