Three Tourists Killed in Avalanche near Tetnuldi

Three Catalan tourists were killed in an avalanche near Tetnuldi ski resort in Georgia's Svaneti region.

Reportedly, the group of 10 tourists was skiing in a forbidden area near Tetnuldi, which resulted in an avalanche.

The Mountain Resorts Development Company reports that four people survived the disaster, while the remaining six were buried in the avalanche.

"Two people were safely recovered from the avalanche, while one among three surviving tourists has multiple fractures. Unfortunately, the remaining three could not be saved and rescuers found their bodies. The Mountain Resorts Development Company calls on skiers not to enter the forbidden area for their own safety,” the agency said in its statement.
