Georgia Temporarily Suspends Direct Flights with Italy due to Coronavirus

The Georgian government has suspended direct flights with Italy due to the new coronavirus outbreak.

The decision was announced at the meeting of the Interagency Coordination Council against Coronavirus on Friday.

In accordance with the new recommendations aiming to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus in the country, the Government calls on citizens to refrain from traveling to countries that are at high risk for coronavirus outbreak: China, South Korea, Italy, and Iran.

In addition, the government members noted at the meeting that the population has no reason to panic and the state fully controls the process.
