Schools, Kindergartens, Colleges Shut until April 1
Holidays in kindergartens, schools, and colleges in Georgia have now been extended to April 1. The decision was made by the Inter-Agency Council against Coronavirus. The information was published by the Administration of Government.
The Inter-Agency Coordination Council on Coronavirus, which is led by the Prime Minister, held a meeting on Wednesday afternoon. In an effort to prevent the spread of the virus, they have made new decisions: extending vacations in educational institutions, closing daycare centers for people with special needs until April 1, and postponing spring recruitment for compulsory military service until April 13.
Following the decision of PM Gakharia, kindergartens, schools, and colleges were closed for students on March 4. The vacation was to last until March 16, but now the off-time from school has extended for two additional weeks.
