PM Calls on Citizens to Follow Self-isolation Rules

Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia calls on those citizens who are in self-isolation to follow the relevant rules.

At today’s Cabinet meeting, the PM instructed the Ministry of Internal Affairs to coordinate with the Ministry of Health and ensure adherence to the self-isolation rules.

“One of the most important main challenges the Coordination Council is facing is the protection of the self-isolation regime. We all understand that people who can potentially be carriers of the virus have a certain obligation to each citizen of our country, and proper compliance with the regime of isolation is the most important component of our civil responsibility. Therefore, we urge citizens who are in self-isolation to act in accordance with these conditions. I also urge the Ministry of Internal Affairs to fully coordinate with the Ministry of Health and ensure accurate and appropriate implementation of the self-isolation rules of citizens,” Gakharia said.

24 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Georgia so far.

Currently, there are 298 people in quarantine and 46 people under supervision in hospitals in Georgia.
