Govt' Postpones Payment of Property and Income Taxes for Tourism Sector

Today, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia introduced an anti-crisis plan in order to reduce the impact of coronavirus on the local economy. 

When presenting the anti-crisis plan, the PM announced that the Government of Georgia made a decision to offer 4-month holidays on property and income taxes for hotels, restaurants, travel agencies, transport and tour companies, adding that the above will apply to about 18,000 companies and 50,000 employees.

"The government will postpone the payment of property and income taxes for 4 months. The above will apply to about 18,000 companies and more than 50 00 employees. This will leave more than 100 million financial resources in this sector for 4 months (March, April, May, June)," he said.
