Georgia: First Infected Patient Recovered; 2nd Set for Retest
"The first Georgian patient infected with the new coronavirus has shown full recovery from the disease," Marina Ezugbaia, Medial Director of Tbilisi Infections Hospital, told reporters.
She added that the patient retested negative for COVID-19.
The second infected patient, who this weekend tested negative after treatment, is set to have a retest today, and by the end of the day, Ezugbaia said, we will probably have confirmation of his health status.
"The second patient, who tested negative for the first time, will be again tested today, and perhaps at the end of the day, Tengiz Tservadze, the director of the Infections Hospital, will tell you the answer to the test. We hope that the answer will be negative and we will have another recovered patient," she noted.
