Tbilisi Mayor: Minibus Drivers Will Receive Payment

Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze announced today at a press conference that mini-bus drivers will not be left without pay.

“I would like to emphasize the need to address all the relevant facilities to assist minibus drivers who are facing the danger of staying without their minimal income. We have already started working with the banking sector to address the issue. The drivers will not be left without income”, said Kaladze.

Tbilisi Mayor announced yesterday that the mini-bus service would be restricted in Tbilisi to curb the spread of COVID-19.

In an effort to support employees notwithstanding the restriction of a myriad of facilities, Kaladze further announced yesterday that over 2500 therapists, teachers and coaches involved in municipal programs will receive salaries without interruption even though education has been suspended due to coronavirus pandemic.
