Georgians Applaud Medics from their Balconies

On Wednesday at 9 PM, Georgians throughout the country took to their balconies and windows to clap for the doctors who are working hard to combat the coronavirus.

The applause and loud cheering not only showed gratitude for the dedication of Georgian doctors – the event was meant for medical staff around the globe.

Thousands of Georgians joined the action to show their support of the doctors in Georgia and worldwide. The applauding event continued for up to ten minutes, and along with the applause, the Georgian national anthem could also be heard in different neighborhoods.
