Georgian Citizen Infected with Coronavirus Dies in Spain
A Georgian citizen infected with COVID-19 passed away in Spain, the Government of Georgia reports.
The Prime Minister's spokesperson, Irakli Chikovani, stated that the 74-year-old woman also had a chronic illness along with coronavirus. He added that the representatives of the diplomatic service are in communication with the family of the deceased and are working on relevant procedures.
As of today, March 19, the number of cases of the new coronavirus has increased to 40 in Georgia.
Currently, there are 1,344 people in quarantine and 216 under supervision at hospitals throughout the country.
One out of 40 patients has recovered and been discharged from the Infections Hospital. The citizen remains in self-isolation.
In Spain, there are 14,769 cases of COVID-19 recorded.
