Chef Baghdoshvili: After COVID19 Virus, Georgia Will Be Popular Tourist Destination
Famous Georgian Chef Guram Baghdoshvili does not exclude that Georgia might become one of the most popular tourist destinations after the COVID-19 virus crisis passes.
The measures being taken against the coronavirus in the country give the board member and founder of the Gastronomic Tourism Business Association the confidence to make this statement.
"Even more developed countries than Georgia have failed to take such restrictive measures as effectively as our country did, therefore it is totally expected that Georgia will become one of the first places in which tourism will flow. We are such a small country and fortunately only a few cases of virus have been confirmed so far," Baghdoshvili says.
He also highlights the efforts of the Georgian people.
“The whole country supports one another. We try our best to protect ourselves and others, not to communicate despite the fact Georgians love to be together. In some European cities, even the nurseries and schools have not been closed yet, which is an irresponsible act. Georgia actively follows all the rules and regulations to fight the virus.”
