Health Official: More Expected to Recover from COVID-19 Soon

The Director of the National Center for Disease Control of Georgia, Amiran Gamkrelidze, said he is completely positive that several more Georgian citizens will recover from the coronavirus within the next 3-4 days, considering their rapidly improving health. He expressed his optimism after a meeting with healthcare experts at the Georgian government administration.

Gamkrelidze went on to explain the standard of discharge of a coronavirus-infected patient from the clinic: within 24 hours, the test should show twice that the virus has vanished from his body.

Thus far, Georgia has registered 43 cases of COVID-19. 1925 persons have been quarantined and 271 remain under inpatient supervision. 1 patient has recovered from the disease.
