Georgia Shuts Down all Flights to/from the Country Starting Today
From 21 March, Georgia is shutting down all flights to/from the country amid coronavirus concerns, with the exception of flights operated by Georgian Airlines, in coordination with the Government of Georgia. The above decision was taken by the Inter-Agency Coordination Council set up to deal with the coronavirus outbreak.
All citizens of Georgia, as well as individuals to whom exceptions to the entry of foreign nationals apply, will be put in quarantine, immediately upon crossing the Georgian border, regardless of the country of origin, and they will be subject to decisions taken in compliance with the applicable procedures.
Additional quarantine areas will be arranged in the vicinity of land border checkpoints to ensure that the situation is managed more effectively.
