Defense Forces of Georgia to be Confined to Barracks amid COVID-19 Concerns

From 21 March, the Defense Forces of Georgia will be confined to barracks amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in a decision announced by Georgian Defense Minister Irakli Garibashvili.  

He explained that during the confinement, soldiers will not be able to leave the military base, preventive measures that will "significantly reduce the spread of the new virus".
