Presence of More than 10 People to be Banned in Closed Areas, Including Markets
As a part of the State of Emergency regime declared in Georgia today, March 21, restrictions have been imposed on the gathering of more than 10 people throughout the country in closed areas, including markets and public transport, Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia announced.
The Head of Government noted that Georgia should follow Europe's best practice, which envisages that people should keep a safe distance from each other in supermarkets.
“Special measures should be taken in the supermarkets. The supermarket owners and managers will be obliged to ensure that there are no more than 10 people in an enclosed area at any one time. We have to look at the best practices of Europe when people keep a safe distance of up to 2 meters,” PM said.
He added that there will be special conditions created in transports as well to ensure the safety of citizens.
