State of Emergency Does Not Envisage Imposition of Curfew

Today's declaration of a state of emergency does not envisage the imposition of curfew, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia said at a special briefing.

As for restrictions on the free movement of citizens, he said that partial restrictions in that regard had already been imposed in the country, adding that stricter measures on quarantine would be imposed if necessary.

The state of emergency regime was declared in Georgia today, March 21, for a month, until April 21. The declaration of a State of Emergency is linked to a new coronavirus that has been raging throughout the world for almost three months for now.
