Senator Rand Paul Tests Positive for Coronavirus

On Sunday, Senator Rand Paul’s office confirmed that the US Senator has tested positive for coronavirus.

Senator Paul is currently in quarantine and is feeling fine, spokesman Sergio Gor said. Though not showing any symptoms, the senator was tested “out of an abundance of caution due to his extensive travel and events,” writes the Washington Times.

The source made it clear that the Senator has not been in contact with his staff, since the D.C. Office has been working remotely past ten days.

Senator Paul is the first senator to have tested positive for COVID-19. Two House members, Reps. Ben McAdams of Utah and Mario Diaz-Balart of Florida, have also tested positive for the illness.
