Tbilisi TV Tower Lit in the Colors of Italian Flag

In order to show support for Italy, Tbilisi City Hall organized the Tbilisi TV Tower to be lit in the colors of the Italian flag.

Georgia’s support did not go unnoticed by Italy. Renowned Italian chef Enzo Neri thanked the Georgian government for lighting up the tower in white, red and green, calling the gesture “a great homage.” In his Facebook live, Neri also thanked his Georgian friends for their sympathy and moral support. Neri has lived in Georgia for 3 years now.

“As an Italian living in Georgia, as a representative of Italy in Georgia, I want to say thank you to the Georgian people and government,” said the Italian chef.

“We will fight. We will win, even this battle,” he added.

The homage was Georgia’s way of saying #ForzaItalia. At the time of writing, Italy has 63,927 confirmed coronavirus cases and 6,077 deaths.
