5 Mln Gel Amassed for the Special Fund Created to Tackle COVID-19

Around 5 million gel has already been transferred to the #StopCoV fund set up to fight the new coronavirus.

“In a matter of days, various companies and citizens have expressed desire to assist the state in the fight against the pandemic. The process of spending money mobilized in the fund will be transparent”, said the business ombudsman Mikhail Daushvili.

“I want to stress the high social responsibility of private businesses and the society as a whole for their joint efforts in the face of such a challenge. We hope we can effectively tackle COVID-19 with such unity, “ he added.

In order to effectively curb the spread of the illness, a platform was created at the instruction of the Prime Minister, within the framework of which all companies, as well as citizens, will be able to make their monetary contribution to the joint cause.
