Tbilisi Mayor: Streets Will be Disinfected at Night

Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze announced today that a disinfection program has been launched to sterilize the streets in Tbilisi, as part of precautionary measures against the coronavirus pandemic.

“Disinfection works will be conducted on the streets where metro stops and subways are located. The project will continue for several days, starting today. Then we will devise individual schedules to continue sterilizing concrete areas. Public transport is already being disinfected on a daily basis”, said Kaladze.

Kaladze also added that USAID will provide special disinfecting equipment that has a proven record of being most efficient for fighting similar pandemics.

The Mayor called on the public to refrain from leaving their homes and to abide by all the precautionary recommendations that have been issued.
