A Two-Year-Old Tests Positive for Covid-19


One of the patients who tested positive for the coronavirus earlier on Thursday was a two-year-old. Kakha Ishkneli, the director of Vakhtang Bochorishvili Hospital, reported on the child’s condition to the media.

“The child’s family was in self-isolation. The condition of the child is satisfactory, with no clinical symptoms. The patient is from the confirmed cluster and some members of the child’s family have also tested positive for the virus,” said Ishkhneli adding later that the child’s parents are not infected and all contacts in these clusters have been identified.

Georgia has 79 confirmed cases of the coronavirus and 4346 people in quarantine.
