Up to 100 People Tested for COVID-19 in Marneuli and Bolnisi
After the meeting of the Inter-Agency Council against the coronavirus, the Georgian Minister of Health Ekaterine Tikaradze said that ever since the municipalities of Bolnisi and Marneuli were locked down, up to 100 people have been tested for Covid-19.
“Over 40 000 people have been examined by our epidemiologists, up to 100 were tested and we have already gotten back answers from Lugar laboratory,” said the minister.
Tikaradze talked about one of the cases at the briefing: a pregnant woman who tested positive for the coronavirus on Thursday. She was one of those 100 people tested in the municipalities.
The latest reports claim that Georgia has 79 coronavirus cases. Two municipalities – Bolnisi and Marneuli are in lockdown as the state announced quarantine on those territories.
