512 NYPD Employees Test Positive for Covid-19

New York Police Department has at least 512 employees that have tested positive for the coronavirus, the latest data reports when the number as of Thursday just barely surpassed 380.

On Friday, the NYPD, the largest police department of the country, also announced its first employee death from Covid-19.

Earlier this week the US President Donald Trump said he wants the nation opened up and just raring to go by Easter. Today, Vice President Mike Pence has called the President’s wish “aspirational.” Also on Friday, the director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota Dr. Michael Osterholm said LIVE on CNN: “We still don't have a plan. I do not know what the national plan is for responding to this virus. Until we get that, it is a piecemeal situation.”

At the time of writing, the novel coronavirus has infected 94,464 and killed 1 430, while 2,447 have recovered.
