US Donates $1.1 million to Georgia's Healthcare Sector

The United States will donate $1.1 million to Georgia's healthcare sector to strengthen the country's fight against the new coronavirus (COVID-19).

In particular, funding will be provided to help prepare laboratory systems, activate case-finding and event-based surveillance, support technical experts for response and preparedness, bolster risk communication, and more.

The relevant information was released by US Embassy Tbilisi, Georgia.

It is also noteworthy that the United States Center for Disease Control and Prevention has trained over 200 professionals in Georgia to help the country in the fight against the new coronavirus.
