Doctor: Source of Virus Transmission among 6 New Patients Identified

As the total number of persons infected with coronavirus has increased from 91 to 97 since yesterday in Georgia, the source of the virus transmission among the 6 new patients has been identified, Marina Ezugbaia, Medical Director of Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital, told reporters on Monday, noting they had been in contact with the last 2 infected.

“Currently, we have 97 confirmed cases of coronavirus infection in the country. One new case was reported yesterday, whose travel history is related to England. 6 new cases were reported today, and the source of the virus transmission among these patients has been identified. They have been in contact with the last 2 infected. All of them have been hospitalized. 4 Patients were taken to the Hospital in Gori and 2 - in Tbilisi," Ezugbaia noted. 

The total number of persons infected with coronavirus has increased to 97 in Georgia.

4876 people are in quarantine and 264 are under examination in hospitals.

18 out of 97 people have recovered from COVID-19. 

No fatalities have been reported so far.
