131 Violations of State of Emergency Reported in Last 24 Hours

131 violations of the state of emergency were reported in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia said on Monday.

104 citizens have been fined for gathering in the public space (more than 10 people), 6 legal entities and 13 individuals were fined for violation of restrictions on economic activities. 5 persons were fined for carrying passengers by minibus from one city to another city, while 3 persons were fined for violating isolation and quarantine.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs calls on citizens to adhere to the restrictions imposed within the framework of the state of emergency regime, otherwise, the measures provided by law will be applied.

The Legal Issues Committee of the Parliament of Georgia has recently implemented legislative changes to the quarantine and self-isolation rules. The violation of these envisages a fine of GEL 3 000 for individuals and GEL 15 000 for legal entities. Repeat offenses are punishable by three years in prison.
