General Quarantine, Including Curfew, Declared throughout Georgia

General quarantine has been declared throughout Georgia. Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia made a corresponding statement at a briefing at the government administration on Monday.

He said that the general quarantine also implies the imposition of a curfew, which will enter into force starting at 8 am tomorrow, while citizens will not be allowed to move in the streets from 21:00 to 06:00. The above restriction also applies to transport.

Under the universal quarantine, people will be banned from traveling by any public transport, including the subway.

"Operation of any kind of public transport, including the subway, is completely prohibited within the framework of the quarantine," Gakharia said.
