Gathering of More Than Three Persons Banned in Georgia

Georgia has banned gatherings of more than three people throughout the whole territory of the country, Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia said at a briefing on Monday.

The restriction does not apply to grocery stores and pharmacies where people are required to keep 2m social distance.

The Prime Minister noted that enterprises will continue to operate and if necessary, a separate protocol will be signed for them.

The general quarantine has been declared throughout Georgia amid coronavirus fears.

The quarantine will start at 8:00 am tomorrow, while citizens will be banned to go out in the streets from 9:00 pm.

The Prime Minister said that under the universal quarantine, people will be banned from traveling by any public transport, including the subway.
