Deputy Minister of Agriculture Recovers from COVID-19
Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Iuri Nozadze, has recovered from coronavirus, being among the 21 patients who have already recovered from the illness in Georgia.
After undergoing a three-week course of treatment, the Deputy Minister had already been discharged from Sachkhere Hospital along with his two children, who were also infected.
In accordance with the established rule, he will be in self-isolation for two weeks, and then will continue to work in his usual regime.
"Today, all three of us are healthy and, in accordance with established rules, we are in a two-week self-isolation. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff of Sachkhere Hospital. Special thanks to the Ministry of Health and the National Center for Disease Control for their professionalism and hard work, which, in coordination with the government, are doing their utmost to minimize the risks of a new virus in the country.
"I would also like to address our citizens - obey the regulations imposed in the country, take care of yourselves, take care of each other and thereby take care of our country. I wish you good health,” he said.
On March 11, it became known that the Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia was infected with the new coronavirus.
