17 Violations of Nationwide Curfew Registered in 24 Hours

The Minister of Internal Affairs Vakhtang Gomelauri announced today that just 17 persons across Georgia have been fined for disregarding the nationwide curfew rules in the last 24 hours, which is a surpsingly low figure.

“We are happy that people are obeying the necessary rules. We expected considerably more violations. We are pleasantly surprised”, said Gomelauri.

Around 350 citizens and 15 legal entities have been fined for violating the state of emergency regime following its implementation.

On March 30, the Georgian government announced the tightening of measures within the framework of the state of emergency, issuing a nationwide curfew and restricting the operation of many businesses.
