26 Recover from Coronavirus in Georgia
26 people have recovered from the new coronavirus in Georgia so far, the government-run special website stopcov.ge reports.
There are 5550 people in quarantine and 281 under examination in hospitals.
The number of cases of coronavirus infection has increased to 130.
26 out of 130 people have already recovered from the illness.
Yesterday, it was announced that Georgian doctors managed to save a patient infected with COVID-19, who was in a very critical condition and had a stated "3% chance of survival". The patient had been discharged from the hospital following 13 days of intensive care.
The infected person had arterial hypertension and heart failure, the pre-existing conditions that the World Health Organization deems as risk factors in a coronavirus infection. Doctors say the patient had bilateral pneumonia and shortness of breath when hospitalized. The case was considered the most critical in Georgia to date.
The patient's recovery from such a critical condition is a further victory of the Georgian healthcare system.
