British PM Admitted to Hospital for Tests
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been admitted to the hospital for tests after days of coronavirus symptoms, CNN reports.
The PM was kept in overnight after being admitted with persistent coronavirus symptoms, including temperature, and is undergoing "routine tests."
If his condition worsens, Dominic Raab, the foreign secretary and first secretary of state, is the designated minister to take charge.
US President Donald Trump began a White House press briefing by sending "our nation's well wishes" for Mr. Johnson's "own personal fight with the virus".
"All Americans are praying for him. He's a great friend of mine, a great gentleman and a great leader," Mr. Trump said, adding that he was sure the PM would be fine because he is "a strong person."
The 55-year-old announced that he had tested positive for the virus on March 27, describing a cough and a fever in a video posted to Twitter. In an update on Friday, Johnson said that he continued to experience a temperature.
