16 Employees of National Bank of Georgia Infected with COVID-19

16 employees of the National Bank of Georgia (NBG), who are currently in isolation, are among those infected with the new coronavirus, the Bank said in a statement. 

Last week, seven employees of the National Bank of Georgia were diagnosed with COVID-19. The symptoms of other employees who had contact with the mentioned persons were immediately examined and were tested. The current data shows that the number of infected has increased to 16.

All the infected employees have been hospitalized and are currently under the supervision of doctors, undergoing appropriate medical procedures.

Their condition is stable and satisfactory at this stage.

The Bank representatives claim that despite the fact that 90% of the employees perform their duties remotely, intensive disinfection and cleaning works are still carried out in all buildings of the National Bank.

The number of cases of coronavirus infection has increased to 188 in Georgia.
