WHO Comments on Easing Coronavirus Restrictions

As a number of nations began putting out campaigns to lift restrictive measures which have been imposed because of the intense spread of the COVID-19, the World Health Organization (WHO) has cautioned against the reduction of lockdowns too early.

WHO spokesman Christian Lindmeier stated that ‘‘One of the most important parts is not to let go of the measures too early in order not to have a fall back again,’’ adding that ‘‘It’s similar to being sick yourself if you get out of bed too early and get running too early you risk falling back and having complications.’’

Some countries have already publicized plans to progressively start lifting some of their restrictions for curbing the spread of the COVID-19 after the countries recorded a drop in the rate of new virus infections.
