Church Servant, Infected with COVID-19 & Family Members Hospitalized

A church servant of the Georgian Orthodox Church is among the 195 patients infected with COVID-19 in the country. 

He was taken to the First University Clinic of Tbilisi State Medical University. However, the clergymen claims that he was not infected while performing services in the church but from his grandfather, an 81-year-old who is currently in a serious condition. 

Reportedly, the remaining members of the family have also been admitted to the hospital and are in the intensive care unit. 

The number of coronavirus cases has increased to 195 in Georgia. 

4708 people are in quarantine and 370 under examination in hospitals.

39 out of 195 people have recovered from the illness and three patients have died.
