Man Arrested For Throwing Dog Off 12th Floor

A young man has been arrested for animal cruelty after throwing a Husky off the 12th floor. The incident occured in Borjomi, a resort town in central Georgia.

The man has been charged in line with the first part of Article 259 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which concerns cruelty to animals that results in their death or mutilation, and envisages up to 1 year in prison.

The dog was luckily found alive, though with multiple fractures and internal bleeding, and with dead puppies in her womb. She was rushed to a veterinary clinic in Tbilisi to undergo surgery.
