Georgian Citizen Dies of Coronavirus in Strasbourg

The Deputy Director of the National Center for Disease Control, Paata Imnadze, today announced the coronavirus-related death of a Georgian citizen in Strasbourg, France.

Imnadze added that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia is now investigating the details pertaining to the young woman’s death.

This is the sixth reported case of a Georgian citizen dying of COVID-19 abroad. 4 persons passed away in Spain; one in the United States. 

As for the statistics inside the country, the number of COVID-19 cases stands at 230. 4908 patients are under quarantine, and 429 remain under stationary supervision. Three persons have died.
