The Guardian: Georgia Successfully Slowed Spread of COVID-19

British edition The Guardian has named Georgia as one of the examples of a successful fight against coronavirus.

Leading daily newspaper said that Georgia is among the countries that have successfully slowed or stopped the spread of the virus.

The publication emphasizes that Georgia has had only 252 confirmed cases and three deaths due to coronavirus, while the population is 3.7 mln.

It further notes that all three deceased had serious concomitant diseases along with COVID-19.

The country's rapid response - imposed travel restrictions, closure of kindergartens, schools, and universities are named as the main factors behind this successful fight.
