Five Ambulance Medics in Bolnisi Infected with COVID-19

Five ambulance doctors in the Bolnisi district of the Kvemo Kartli region have tested positive for the new coronavirus, the Ministry of Health of Georgia has confirmed. 

The Agency said that the source of the infection is unknown at this stage and all the people who were in contact with the infected medical staff are being examined.

"All persons who were in contact with them are currently in self-isolation," the Ministry representatives noted. 

The ambulance doctors are among the 296 patients infected with COVID-19 in Georgia. 

There are currently 4856 people quarantined and 458 under examination in hospitals. 

69 out of 296 people have recovered from the illness, while 3 patients have died.
