The number of cases of coronavirus infection in Georgia has increased by 4, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 300, government-run special website stopcov.ge reports.

There are currently 4990 people quarantined and 462 under examination in hospitals.

69 out of 300 people have recovered from the illness, while 3 patients have died.

In addition, 3 patients have been transferred from abroad to Georgia for the purpose of medical treatment.

"After 300 confirmed cases, rapid growth is expected," said Amiran Gamkrelidze, Head of the National Center for Disease Control, on April 14. He said that if citizens do not keep social distance and do not stay at home, thousands of people might be infected in early May.
