Georgian President Thanks Citizens for High Social Responsibility

The President of Georgia Salome Zurbabishvili has congratulated the population on the occasion of the Easter holiday, thanking them for the 'high sense of social responsibility' shown yesterday.

"Congratulations on the glorious Easter holiday. Thank you, the Georgian nation, for the high sense of social responsibility shown yesterday. With such moves, we confirm that we all feel and share the responsibility to each other! Thank you all! Christ is risen!" Salome Zurabishvili wrote on social media.

Her words refer to the fact that last night, unusually small number of parishioners gathered in churches throughout the country to participate in the Easter liturgy due to the coronavirus pandemic, with a few exceptions.
