Mother of Georgian Singer Accidentally Shot Dead

A middle-aged woman was allegedly accidentally shot dead in the Vake-Saburtalo district of Tbilisi last night.

The victim was the mother of Georgian singer Tika Makhaldiani.

Reportedly, the woman was in her house, on the 7^th floor, when she received a shot to her head through the window.

Relatives of the family claim that the defendant was allegedly under the influence of alcohol.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs said an investigation has been launched on charges of premeditated murder and illegal possession of firearms.

Reportedly, one individual has already been detained for the crime; however, the investigative agency refrained from commenting on the reports.
