MOD Denies 8 Soldiers Tested Positive for COVID-19

The Ministry of Defence of Georgia has denied the wide-spread information that 8 soldiers have tested positive for coronavirus.

“That is a lie and disinformation,” the ministry told InterPressNews.

On Monday, information was spread among the Georgian media, according to which 8 of 40 soldiers quarantined tested positive for coronavirus and were taken to Gori Military Hospital.

There are 402 coronavirus cases confirmed in Georgia. 4 have died and 95 have recovered from the virus.
