Terrorism Threat in Georgia is Not High
Deputy Head of Administration of the State Security Service of Georgia Nino Giorgobiani has stated that terrorism threat level in Georgia is not high.
According to Giorgobiani, in light of current developments in the world, it is obvious that risks are increased everywhere.
She highlighted that the State Security Service of Georgia takes relevant measures regarding terrorism threats.
“Therefore, safety measures are reinforced. According to the existing information, on this stage, terrorism threat level in Georgia is not high. But, in the worldwide and regional context, risks, of course, cannot be excluded. The State Security Service has launched investigation on every particular case which may be connected to the security of Georgia.
In order to prevent any possible threats, every department of the service is mobilized,” she said.
Giorgobiani emphasized that active cooperation and information sharing with relevant services of partner countries is underway.
Furthermore, in collaboration with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia preventive measures are carried out on state land border.
